Purple Group (Aarusa, Jacob, and Irelynn)
Monday 1/29:
Practice your sight word packet for a few minutes each day. Read your fluency strips to your parent(s). Also, practice your five new spelling words. You can find them on the paper you brought home today.
Read your "little reader" to your parent(s). Close the book, and retell the story to your parent(s). Then pack it back in the bag, and place it in your Daily Folder in your backpack so it comes back to school tomorrow.
Tuesday 1/30:
Practice your sight word packet for a few minutes each day. Read your fluency strips to your parent(s). Practice your five spelling words!
Read your "little reader" to your parent(s). Close the book, and retell the story to your parent(s). Then pack it back in the bag, and place it in your Daily Folder in your backpack so it comes back to school tomorrow.
YOU HAVE PHYS. ED TOMORROW. PLEASE BRING YOUR SNEAKERS FOR TOMORROW'S CLASS.

Friday 2/02:
There will be no "little reader" tonight. Have a wonderful weekend! You may want to return library books today, since they are due on Monday.
Don’t forget--if your child is looking for something to do on the computer and YOU want him or her to work on something educational, my selection of websites can be found using my SITES AND LINKS tab on this blog. Your child will be using this tab every week now, and should have favorite sites he or she would like to revisit. I have tried to include a brief synopsis of each site to help in your selection. I particularly recommend RAZ-KIDS for practice in Reading, and IXL.com for practice with various Math topics. Your child can access Pre-K through 2nd Grade at the IXL site, so there are challenges for everyone. And don’t forget, there are lots from which to choose in any subject areas when visiting my regular SITES AND LINKS tab.
